Bylaw 21-25

The previous Mayor and Council put forward Bylaw 21-25 that would have drastically affected RM of Springfield’s residents rights to public input on land use in our region. This was a massive talking point in the last municipal election, and thanks to the three new councillors (Andy Kucznski, Melinda Warren and Mark Miller) and several other supporters, we are well on our way to ensuring this bylaw goes through the proper public process as it should have in the first place.

A MAJOR VICTORY! Thanks to several concerned residents and the committment from Councillors Andy Kucznski, Melinda Warren and Mark Miller, the Municipal Board has rejected Bylaw 21-25 and ultimately agreed with our position – this bylaw should have never made it to the Municipal Board because of lack of public input.
